GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY
Throughout the years, we stayed committed to the local community by providing financial backing to various promising individuals (i.e., motocross rider Monika Sulič, archer Lea Blažič) and different associations and teams (i.e., football team Galeb Ankaran, fishing association, Gorica archer club, Society for the promotion of sports of Slovenia, Association of the disabled, Goricatlon) and others.
In addition, we are a proud long-time sponsor of POPRI, an international youth business model competition. Our support extends beyond financial contributions to include a mentorship program where we guide students through their process of writing their business models. Moreover, we provide internship opportunities which often turn into permanent positions at our company.
We believe the lighting design profession have a significant impact on the lighting sector and the quality of indoor living. Thus, we have strengthened our support in the lighting community by sponsoring Darc Sessions, a two-day event bringing specifiers and suppliers of global lighting projects together.
In addition, we became sponsors of the Silhouette Awards mentoring program, which provides support to young professionals in the lighting industry through a six-month mentorship led by an experienced senior lighting professional.

LED Luks places a strong emphasis on investment in technology, innovation, and economic growth. Our company proudly supports forward-thinking initiatives and actively participates in events like The Economy Towards Tomorrow, which promote sustainable development and innovation. With our president, Dino Feragotto, also serving as Vice-President of Confindustria Udine, we contribute to vital innovation projects that bolster regional growth and competitiveness. Furthermore, our latest research project, focused on developing 3D-printed luminaires from recycled materials, has gained significant recognition, ranking us in the top 3 out of 366 applications in the Horizon Europe program. This achievement highlights our commitment to the circular economy by prioritizing zero-waste processes and utilizing recyclable, biodegradable, and locally sourced materials to reduce our carbon footprint.
Moreover, we deeply value Slovenia’s cultural landscape, which is why we have donated our IKAR luminaires to a gallery in Ljubljana, adding a touch of modern lighting to a vibrant cultural space. This donation reflects our belief that supporting the art is essential to fostering community and creativity, which in turn inspires innovation and progress in all areas of society.
LED Luks will also participate in an innovative project led by an Italian architect to design a home specially tailored for autistic individuals. As part of this initiative, we will donate our luminaires, designed to provide the highest level of comfort for people with light sensitivity who can be easily disturbed by intense lighting. This collaboration emphasizes our commitment to creating environments that cater to diverse needs, enhancing well-being and comfort through thoughtful lighting solutions.
LED Luks is a voting member of the Lighting Industry Resource Council (LIRC), which operates within the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD). This council facilitates collaboration between professional lighting designers and lighting manufacturers to advance product quality, service standards, business practices, and lighting design education. Through its participation in the IALD, LED Luks is committed to elevating the global lighting design profession by supporting education, fostering community, and promoting industry engagement.
CHARITY
MAKING A DIFFERENCE TOGETHER
We are committed to giving back to the environment that supports our employees and enables us to manufacture our products locally. In response to the devastating floods that impacted much of Slovenia in the summer of 2023, leaving many without homes, we contributed to the restoration of their houses. Similarly, after a wildfire in 2022 destroyed 90 hectares of forest in the Slovenian Karst, we donated towards firefighting equipment and the replanting of the forest.
Instead of giving gifts to our clients for New Year's in 2023, we've decided to donate the funds to the Botrstvo program, which supports children from families in need, helping them enjoy a better quality of life.
At LED Luks, we are proud to support Vrabček upanja, a volunteer-led nonprofit organization sustained by donations and sponsors. Originally focused on providing equipment for the Department of Youth with Disabilities and Rehabilitation in Stara Gora, they have since expanded their support to assist with various other needs.
